This was the second game that was written in the David/Justin consortium. It was an attempt to write a D&D-esqe game. It came with all the tools to build a weapon, spell, class, whatever. Also, it came with a character sheet builder with a very nice UI to boot. The game was meant to be played over a LAN or possibly the internet. So, if you want to learn about networking in Java this is a great place to look. Sadly though most of it doesn't actually work. It was more work than the amount of time we were given. Again, if someone wants to work more on it, let me know and I'll pick up the old project again. Or if you have any questions about it, I'll do my best to try and remember what the hell we were thinking. CharSheet
This was the first game that I ever developed and wrote. It is all done in Java, and some people might even notice that the pictures are from a certain game, *cough*Advanced Wars 2: Black Hole Rising*cough*. My oh my that was a nasty cough....anyways, a friend of mine, Justin Walbeck, coded it up in the year 2003/2004. It took us only 4 months to code it up and start testing it. Most of the bugs were hammered out in this version, so I laid it to rest. Recently, I tried to play it and found out that it no longer works with the newer versions of Java (ie Java 5.0+). So, if anyone out there wants to try and fix it up to work with newer version let me know, cause I'm right there with you. So here is a .zip for you all to download. unAdvancedWars
